Sladjana Vujovic - writer

Sladjana is an award winning and published author of stage and screen plays and short stories. She writes in English and translates between English and several Balkan languages (Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin). 

writing credits:

  • Hunt: a 60 min play commissioned by Kazzum Theatre Company, London.  Performed from June 2008.

  • A Place in the Sun: (working title) – 90 min stage play, unperformed

  • The Boat: a short story, published by ‘Sodobnost’ literary magazine, Slovenia, 2005 

  • Gilgamesh:  90 min stage play produced by Budva City International Theatre Festival in 1996. 

  • Butterfly Effect (a.k.a. DERMOTT): 90 min stage play commissioned and produced by Mania Productions, 1994 

  • The Tender Mercies: commissioned and produced by Mania Productions in 1993. Won Fringe First in the same year Edinburgh Festival. Produced by theatre companies in the UK, Ireland, Germany and the US. Published in 1999 by Aurora Metro Publications, London. 

  • Lust: commissioned by ‘7 Sins Project’, 15 min comedy

  • Matthew, Live from Bethleham – 15 min comedy
