Sladjana Vujovic - arts educator

Sladjana’s education work includes devised workshops and courses for young people in the UK and internationally; directing, writing and acting. She has an interest in a wide range of education fields including learning through drama, writing, devising and facilitating. She has worked with many culturally diverse groups and is strongly interested in global citizenship and related issues. Sladjana has taught in the UK, EU and the Balkan countries, working with the young, drama students and the corporate sector.

  • 2007 - Telling Tales: devising and running drama workshops for young people for Kazzum Theatre Company

  • 2006 - Words Within: a series of writing workshops for Kazzum TC with a group of young people recently arrived in the UK, which aimed to facilitate self expression through accessible approaches to writing and drama

  • Creative workshops for women refugees for Arts Depot. at Barnet Multicultural Centre (a theatre/art/dance installation project).  

  • 2005 - Red, White, Black & Blue: GLYPT TIE project for secondary schools, London. Interactive theatre event (curriculum area: citizenship). Planning R&D, facilitation, acting.

  • 2004 - GLYPT: eight week residency in Eltham Green Secondary School.  
  • 2004 - The Art of Playwriting: created and led a teaching course for Slovenian Writer’s Association & Ministry of Culture, Slovenia.  
  • 2003 to 2005 - Creativity and communications skills: created and led workshops for  corporate clients and general public, London.  

  • 2002 - Working in the Arts and Media: created and led a training course for professional translators, commissioned by ‘Connexions’ and Hammersmith & Fulham Education Authority, London.  

  • 1997 to 2002 - Theatre productions & workshops for young people: director - facilitator for Mania Productions touring new UK work in the UK and Germany
