Sladjana Vujovic - director

As a theatre director - producer Sladjana Vujovic has authored many successful projects in the UK and worldwide. As Artistic Director she has co-run two London-based theatre companies: Mania Productions and ActTC. Sladjana directs contemporary, multidisciplinary and classical texts as well as dance and musical theatre. Her production company ARTS WORLD PRODUCTIONS produces and promotes theatre, film and multi-media events with focus on international collaborations.

  • Naš čovjek, an omnibus production (seven short plays written by seven authors and conceptually united as a full length drama); directed for Herceg Novi Theatre. The production opened the 13th HAPS International Theatre Festival, Herceg Novi, Montenegro

  • Romance D’Carnaval, UK tour in 2006, European tour in 2008. Tango drama co-created with Myriam Ojeda Patiňo.

  • Boat People, at The Old Vic Theatre and Theatre Royal Startford East, London. Own play, rehearsed readings.

  • Soho Theatre, London: Nora Nora by E. Flisar, The Corridor by M. Zupancic and Anywhere out of This World by B. Tadel.

  • Men do not go to War over Women, British Museum, London. A site-specific project. Play adapted by G. Landor from Troy by A. Rissik. Preceded by stage productions at Soho Theatre, London and Slavia Theatre, Belgrade, Serbia.

  • The Tender Mercies, The Old Vic, London (own play, rehearsed reading).

  • Men do not go to War over Women: New York, Montenegro, Italy, India.

  • The Letter, Waterman’s Arts Centre, London. Play by A. Milkovich.

  • Miss Julie by A. Strindberg   at The Courtyard Theatre, London.

  • GLYPT, work in education, London.

  • Men do not go to War over Women at BAC, London.

  • The Good Fight by Neil Monaghan, Edinburgh Festival.

  • These Colours Don’t Run and Fist of the Dragonfly as producer for Mania Productions, Montenegro.

  • Banovic Strahinja, at Bloomsbury Theatre, London. Produced play by Borislav Mihajlovic-Mihiz, directed by Nikita Milivojevic.

  • The Final Innocence by E. Flisar Slovenian Chamber Theatre, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

  • The Tender Mercies, a tour of Germany.

  • Gilgamesh (own play), Montenegro.

  • Tomorrow, at Baron’s Court Theatre, London followed by a tour of Slovenia. Play by E. Flisar.

  • Ran festival venues in Edinburgh Festival 1991 – 1994, producing and directing a number of plays. 

  • Co-produced Festival of Drama From Former Yugoslavia with Gina Landor at the Tricycle Theatre, London.

  • The Tender Mercies (own play), Edinburgh Festival Fringe, won Fringe First.
